* CompleteMonster: [[Characters/ToyStoryLotso Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear]] is the ruler of [[Characters/ToyStorySunnysideDaycareToys Sunnyside Daycare]], and oppresses the other toys through brute force and violence. Originally the favorite toy of a young girl named Daisy, Lotso was [[VengefulAbandonedToy mistakenly lost and replaced, leading him to believe that all toys were worthless and unloved]]. Taking over Sunnyside, Lotso subjects the toys in the Caterpillar Room to horrid mistreatment from the younger children. When Andy's toys request that they be relocated to the Butterfly Room, Lotso [[BrainwashedAndCrazy resets Buzz Lightyear]] and has him beat down his friends, showing a cold satisfaction while doing so. When Woody frees the toys and they attempt to escape, Lotso has [[ColdBloodedTorture Chatter Telephone beaten]] in order to get him to explain Woody's escape plan before ordering the toys disposed of in the dumpster. When his minions turn on him and he is taken to the dump, along with Andy's toys, he abandons them to burn to death in the incinerator, [[UngratefulBastard ignoring that they had previously saved his life]]. While he has a [[TragicVillain tragic]] backstory, Woody himself [[FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse calls him out on how weak it is]], stating that Lotso had abandoned her; not the other way around. Sociopathic and misanthropic, Lotso may have [[FaceOfAnAngelMindOfADemon appeared]] and [[FauxAffablyEvil acted]] innocent, but was in fact depraved to his core.

** It was rumored that [[WesternAnimation/MonstersInc Boo]] could be seen in the Butterfly room during the movie, but this was {{Jossed}}. Funnily enough, ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory4'' [[spoiler: actually ''does'' feature a legitimate cameo from Boo, where she's a student in Bonnie's kindergarten class, possibly in reference to these very rumors.]]

** Disneyland also liberally used the incinerator scene for an extended sequence in their "Pixar Magic" fireworks/projection show, complete with Woody's heartwrenching BigNo. Even if it was an excuse to use the flamethrower effect, some audience members have not enjoyed going through the trauma of the scene again!

* BrokenBase: While both films are beloved there's quite a divide among fans and critics on if ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory2'' or ''Toy Story 3'' deserves the honor of the series' best. Those who consider ''3'' to be the best film in the series cite the brilliant use of GrowingWithTheAudience having a much stronger villain than prior films and naturally upping the drama without sacrificing the comedy. Those who prefer ''2'' however feel that ''3'' suffers from more disjointed pacing, less witty writing, and overall [[ItsTheSameNowItSucks borrows too many plot elements from the prior film]] to stand on its own feet.

Adjusting spoiler bracket, so we can see that the spoiler is for something in the fourth film (otherwise people wouldn't realize that without uncovering the entire thing at once).

** Thought the scene of Andy sacrificing Woody to Bonnie after giving away all his other toys was enough? [[spoiler: Come ''Toy Story 4'' and Bonnie has been outright neglecting Woody in favor of the other toys. Not only that, but at the end, Woody leaves Bonnie to be with Bo Peep.]]

* IKnewIt: The Barbie back-up singers in Toy story 2 are never explained, and just seem to appear in Andy's room out of nowhere. Most people just assumed they belonged to Molly, due to Barbies being traditionally "Girl's toys". This film confirms that Molly owned Barbies.
