  • Actor Allusion: This storyline contains various allusions to the shared actors of both series, alternating between making the similarities significant and dismissing them as a simple coincidence.
    • In two particularly meta examples, Dean 'recognises' an alternate version of Qetesh as Claudia Black, and wonders if he’s talking to MacGyver when he initially hears Jack O’Neill over the phone.
    • When Dean first meets Daniel Jackson, he 'recognises' him as Rob ("99 Problems"), Daniel noting that he never expected to hear about a doppelganger of himself on Earth.
    • Dean is initially shocked to meet Colonel Steven Caldwell, who is an exact double of Dean's deceased grandfather Samuel Campbell. When Samuel is resurrected later in the series, it is eventually revealed that Samuel's soul was actually brought back to life in a clone of Colonel Caldwell, as his own body had been dead for too long for anyone to actually resurrect that.
    • Dean is particularly uncomfortable with Todd, as the Wraith evokes memories of Alastair.
    • When Harriman discovers Abaddon in the SGC, he initially mistakes her for T.J., until Gabriel appears and forces Abaddon to abandon her meatsuit.
    • Looking at footage of Ernest Littlefield's successful trip through the 'gate in 1945, Sam is struck by the similarity between Littlefield and Doctor Carson Beckett.
    • When the SGC discover the Men of Letters bunker, they learn from a journal in the bunker that James Haggerty, one of the Men of Letters, was actually a descended Janus.
    • Despite these other allusions, no reference is made to a similarity between ex-SG-1 member Jonas Quinn and Campbell family member Christian, although this can be justified as nobody who knew Jonas ever meets Christian). For similar reasons, nobody compares Sam Carter to the angel Naomi or Major Evan Lorne to ex-Man of Letters Cuthbert Magnus, as Naomi and Magnus never actually appears in the series.
