• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: What was with the shot of the mummy skating forward like he was at the airport?
• It Was His Sled: Every poster and summary of the film, and even the title of the version of the movie used on MST3K spoil the mummy's alien origin.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: We are meant to see the mummy as some kind of Anti-Villain who just wants to get the crystals so he can go back home. The thing is, he murders several people just because they have some crystals he wants, even though they didn't know about it and he could have just taken the crystals without hurting them (given how strong he is). Not to mention he kills a janitor who didn't even have a crystal and was just in his way basically.
