• Padding: This was one of the 11 episodes that had to be extended from 25 to 50 minutes at Lew Grade's insistence. The additional material was largely in the early part of the episodes, with International Rescue barely getting any screentime for the first half of the episode while the military try to solve the problem themselves. Two separate soldiers being lowered into the pit to no avail and the crew above the surface try to pull the sidewinder out with rope unsuccessfully.
