YMMV / 3-D Ultra Pinball Thrill Ride

Go To

  • Awesome Music: The whole soundtrack qualifies, but the Flying Falcon and Thrillride themes take the cake.
  • It's Easy, So It Sucks! and It's Short, So It Sucks!: These tropes go hand in hand, as the game's lax difficulty means that skilled players can activate most of the modes (save for Hide and Seek; see That One Level below) and reach the Lights Out wizard mode fairly quickly. Other pinball games in comparison have about the same amount of modes, but their difficulty is much higher, thus creating more replay value.
  • Most Wonderful Sound: THRILL ZONE!
    • The Extra Ball sound, as it should be.
    • The short fanfare that plays right before you start Nighttime Fantasy or Lights Out.
  • No Problem with Licensed Games: Though the difficulty is low, and its usage of Hershey Park licensing is somewhat minimal, this is still one of the more well-received installments in the 3-D Ultra line.
  • That One Level: Much like Lyman's Lament, activating the Hide and Seek Mode can be a chore. You thought 44 shots into the Concert Hall was tough already? Try 50 shots into the Gift Shop. You can use a cheat code to start the mode immediately, but doing so locks you out of entering your score into the Hall of Fame.
