• Broken Base: The reuse of Toby's cowardly persona from the Miller era. Some feel it was a continued betrayal to his original wiser persona (which was Rerailed in most other Brenner episodes at this point), others feel this episode was a more nuanced and successful attempt at giving Toby a foible that was in character.
• The Woobie: You have to feel sorry for Toby for having a hard time getting the hang with the signals.
