• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • In "Believers Part 2", Mulder jokes that there are enough bloody footprints at a crime scene "to keep Forensics busy until the next government shutdown sends everyone home on furlough." The issue was released in mid-August 2013. A month-and-a-half later...
  • "Monica and John", which is about the duo going missing, Reyes finding Doggett after the latter had been missing for months, and Reyes becoming uncharacteristically angry that they were forgotten by the others. Come the show's revival, where Doggett suffers from Chuck Cunningham Syndrome and Reyes is the only one to come back albeit criticized as acting Out of Character because she's had a Face–Heel Turn, working for the Cigarette-Smoking Man.
    Reyes: You really don't get it, do you? They forgot about us, John. They forgot about all of us.
