• Base-Breaking Character: Wilma herself. Some readers like how she remains a Nice Girl who never tries to change herself after she becomes popular, and how she starts bonding with unpopular students. On the other hand, other readers feel like she never really has any Character Development, as she's obsessed with being loved by everyone and desperately wants to keep her superficial popularity in the entire book, even if she didn't do anything to earn it and the wish basically forces everyone to like her for no reason. After the wish ends, Ardis, Nina and BeeBee call her out on it.
• Spoiled by the Format: Wilma assumed the spell would end at graduation, so when there's no sign of that, she figures it's not going to end after all. With several chapters left in the book, the reader can guess something else is going on.
