• Harsher in Hindsight: Two examples during Jed and Zoey's final scene.
  • Zoey comments that the Secret Service should be more worried about Jed getting shot than about her safety. In the season finale white supremacists will open fire on both of them, with Jed getting wounded in the process.
  • Jed's speech about how disastrous Zoey getting kidnapped would be. The scenario he lays out plays out almost to the word at the end of season four. Jed even lampshades it during the crisis, telling Leo that he predicted the whole thing.
• Values Resonance: When Jed asks Zoey if she did anything to lead the guys at the bar on she snaps back that she didn't, and even if she had flirted with them it doesn't excuse their behaviour. Increasing awareness of sexual harrassment and victim-blaming makes Zoey's point hit a lot harder.
