YMMV / The Ugly Duckling (1939)

• Alternative Character Interpretation: At the end of the short, the mother duck sees the ugly duckling and seems happy to see him again. Did she change her mind about abandoning him, or is she happy to see that he finally found his real family?
• The Woobie: The "ugly" duckling, who else? He was born in a family that doesn't match his species and desperately seeks a family that will accept him, and it takes a while and much painful rejections till he eventually finds one to be happily adopted in.
