• Alternate Character Interpretation:
  • Was Robyn distraught over Adriana's death, or more rattled by the impact of having made a bad judgement call that cost the feds a key asset? There's evidence for both. In a similar vein, was her earlier empathy for Ade in the bathroom genuine, or a calculated ploy to win back her trust after sneering at her in the boardroom with her peers?
  • Chris at the gas station. Is it the sight of a family with kids that inspires him to betray Adriana, who told Chris she can't have children? Or is it the fact said family appears to be quite poor, with their possessions strapped to the top of a beat-up old car, that makes Chris realize he can't give up the luxuries of the mob life?
• He's Just Hiding: Many fans speculated that Adriana had survived because her death was not shown on-screen. However, Drea de Matteo confirmed in her 2005 DVD Commentary that Adriana was indeed killed. De Matteo quotes Steve Van Zandt as saying: "Do [the fans] think I was shooting squirrels?"
• Moral Event Horizon: Christopher can't bear the idea of giving up life in the mob so he betrays Adriana to Tony who has her killed.
