YMMV / The Sinister Urge

  • Anvilicious: The diatribe about pornography being worse than murder and kidnapping.
  • Dawson Casting: The, ahem, "teenagers" at the pizza shop.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: KLINE!
  • Glurge: A natural consequence of letting Ed Wood handle an exploitation morality play.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: After The Sinister Urge, Wood did nothing but porn.
  • Padding: Be prepared for a lot of scenes of cars parking and pulling away.
  • Playing Against Type: Kenne Duncan was a Perpetual Frowner bad guy in Westerns from the 30's. Here, he's a detective who has a lighter side.
  • Production Posse: Harvey B. Dunn and Conrad Brooks have roles. Wood's Western idols Kenne Duncan and Duke Moore have starring roles.
  • Sampled Up: A section of the movie, with the couple talking to each other, had been used in the EBN version of U2's Numb.
