YMMV / The Simpsons S 17 E 20 Regarding Margie

• Crosses the Line Twice: An amnesiac Marge's appalled reaction to Homer strangling Bart and him trying to persuade her he doesn't have a problem with it is already dark humor, but Homer strangling him again for complaining how it hurts when he swallows just cinches it.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Marge suffering amnesia and remembering her kids but not Homer is an interesting concept, and when trying to make her remember him fails, he settles on trying to make her fall in love with him all over again, something that should have been explored more. Unfortunately, it backfires horribly due to Marge being turned off by her forgotten husband's negative aspects.
