• Alternative Character Interpretation: Was Nikki really just trying to keep Emmy quiet when she kidnapped her and made her drink all that alcohol, or was she trying to kill her? If it was the latter, she might have been motivated to kill Emmy because she was angry at Murdoch, Ben, and Bobbie for taking her children away, in a non-romantic example of "If I Can't Have You…" On the other hand, alcohol poisoning isn't a very fast or practical way to kill someone, especially when there are more efficient ways to do so. So maybe Nikki simply didn't realize that such a large amount of alcohol would be dangerous for a seven-year-old girl to drink.
• Moral Event Horizon: Nikki kidnapping her seven-year-old daughter Emmy and making her drink so much alcohol that it nearly kills her.
