- Special Effect Failure: Hoo, boy... If you thought special effects in The Hobbits were bad, consider you haven't seen much yet. Painted background sets, which don't even try to blend with the live-action footage; theatre-level props; narmy CGI effects (some even appear to be taken from TV documentaries).
