- Fridge Horror: It's stated that the jackpot wiped out 80% of the world's population. It's also stated that China was well-prepared for the Jackpot. Just under 20% of the global population (at present) lives in China. Thus, if the country had managed to save a sizeable proportion of its population, there would be practically nobody left anywhere else. Yikes. No wonder the streets of London are so eerily quiet.
- Genius Bonus: Ash's style of Victorian-esque gowns combined with her body-art might seem like a clever contradiction to most readers; but in fact, body tattoos were a fad among some Victorian women. All Ash actually did was take an exact style from that era and update it slightly.
