• Accidental Aesop: Given the mother-son relationship between King and Eda, one could interpret that such a relationship should be built on trust and honesty.
• Alternative Character Interpretation: After King runs off at learning the truth, Lilith and Hooty express "regret at playing a part in all of this". Are they remorseful that they earlier fed into King's belief he was the King of Demons when they started believing it too? Or do they feel bad that they had accused him of creating falsehoods when he didn't even know his backstory was a falsehood?
• He Really Can Act: Alex Hirsch does a fantastic job delivering King's breakdown once the truth is revealed.
• Moe: Baby King is so adorable.
• Squick: Seeing the spot on the door with Hooty not there is very disturbing, with all those veins and guts left over. This also counts as an In-Universe example, with Luz struggling to not throw up.
