Luz was absolutely miserable in the potion track, but, while she still would've preferred studying every track, she may have been happier if she was allowed the time to decide on what track she herself wanted to go for, or even tested out each track before making an informed decision. Instead, Principal Bump dumps her into a random track with no concern for her wishes.
• Harsher in Hindsight: The Greater Basilisk's actions take on an even darker tone once we're introduced to Vee in "Yesterday's Lie" and shown that Basiliks can just as easily get magic from other sources instead of young children, don't even need to absorb magic to survive, and were tortured as experiments by the Emperor's Coven. In other words, everything the Greater Basilisk did was nothing more than an act of pure sadism due to the twisted environment they grew up in.
