  • Queen Chrystal turns the forest and half of the kingdom into stone, and not just living beings, but everything from ground to trees. Only flying beings that have no contact with the ground can escape the curse.
  • It's revealed at the end that Queen Chrystal is actually possessed by an evil, beauty-obsessed demon, who wants to kill Snow White so it can possess her body instead.
• Tear Jerker:
  • The death of Snow White's mother. We don't see it, but the King's scream of anguish can melt even a frozen heart.
  • For that matter, Snow White's reaction to the death of her mother. For a show aimed at kids, it does an excellent job of portraying it as realistic and as gently as possible.
• Sweetness Aversion: The overload of cuteness, kid-friendliness and Anvilicious friendship-related messages of the anime can trigger reactions like this.
