• Best Known for the Fanservice: The film is undoubtedly best remembered for featuring Elizabeth Montgomery as a nude, hatchet-wielding Lizzie Borden. Indeed, it popularized the notion that Lizzie committed the murders naked.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Some viewers have noted that the film works so well as a fact-based docudrama, the fictionalized ending that "reveals" Andrew and Abby's killer somewhat detracted from its overall quality and it would've been better if the film concluded with a more ambiguous ending.
