  • Broken Base: Several:
    • John Robert C. was divisive when he joined and is still divisive years later. He's either a different but great replacement for Storm who can do his material just fine while also being a way more distinctive and charismatic performer, or he's annoying, out of place, and drove the band in the absolute worst direction possible, while another contingent maintains that while Storm was the better vocalist overall, John is by far the better live performer.
    • "Vampire (A Blood Ballad)" off their self-titled record: a unique and interesting experiment, or an awful Big-Lipped Alligator Moment that ruins the entire album?
  • Harsher in Hindsight: John Robert C. wrote "Invictus Unto Fire" as a hypothetical reaction to losing someone dear to him, only to have that come true when a very good friend of his died sometime after he wrote it.
  • Memetic Mutation: An image of Andrew Petway holding a can of Mountain Dew Baja Blast unexpectedly became a meme across social media around the beginning of 2024, with many meme pages and content aggregators circulating it and often photoshopping other objects into his hand.
  • Signature Song: "The Box" for the band as a whole (largely due to its status as an Audience Participation Song), "Sweet Chin Music" for the John Robert C. era, and "Annihilation Phenomena" for the Tyler Beam era.
