YMMV: The Ides Of March

  • Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy: Despite the movie's insistence that Gosling's character is 'idealistic', he does a lot of dislikeable things throughout the movie, so his journey to 'disillusionment' seems sorta irrelevant since he was never really a goodhearted character in the first place. That the Presidential candidate also turns out to be a bastard leaves the audience with no one to like.
