• Broken Base: Some fans are fine with the Darker and Edgier take of this fic, while others are feeling that the fic lost sight of Zexal's key themes and tone, and instead tries to make it more like 5D's.
• Catharsis Factor:
  • After all that Tron has done, seeing him on the receiving end of a Curb-Stomp Battle from Merag is nothing short of satisfying.
  • On a similar note, considering everything Number 96 has done possessing Kotori being the big one it is nothing short of satisfying when Kotori is the one to deliver him some much deserved payback by defeating him in a duel which then leads to him being killed by Number 43 immediately afterwards
• Moral Event Horizon: Tron crossed it after he put Number 43 in III, his own son's deck, knowing what could potentially happen. This is ultimately what causes V to betray him, making this an in-universe example at the very least.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • The graphic way in which Carrion was murdered by Kotori when she became possessed by Number 96 after defeating him in a duel.
  • Kotori's Transformation when she activates Rank Up Magic Barian's Force during her duel with Yuma.
  • Tron's Skull like scars made out of Barian Crystals on half of his face which replaced the space void from canon.
