  • Alternative Character Interpretation:
    • As pointed out on the main page, did Irene kill herself out of guilt because Emily wouldn't forgive her? Or as June theorizes, did Irene lie to the Canadian authorities about her life in Gilead and killed herself to ensure that as a former Aunt, she wouldn't be tried for war crimes like the Waterfords currently are?
    • Is Commander Lawrence really allowing Janine to be a punching bag for Aunt Lydia or is it an attempt to trigger a Heel–Face Turn by reinstating Janine as Lydia's Morality Pet?
    • Some fans wondered if the crowd of people supporting the Waterfords was supposed to be an Imagine Spot, which isn’t helped by the camerawork focusing on one extra who bears a striking resemblance to Luke.
