  • Alternative Character Interpretation:
    • Does Jae-joon have any genuine love towards Ye-sol, or is it just possessive entitlement? On the one hand, he has no real relationship with her, and (like Yeon-jin), he gives little thought to whatever pain she'll go through in his pursuit of what he wants. His disgust at Yeon-jin after finding out that So-hee was pregnant with his child by rape when Yeon-jin killed her, when he was completely nonplussed about it before, also implies that he cares more about what is biologically "his" than anything else. On the other hand, he shows real excitement at the prospect of her living with him—going as far as to get his apartment completely refurnished with child-friendly furniture—and beats one of her teachers to a pulp when Dong-eun informs him of the creepy photographs he'd been taking of Ye-sol and the other girls at school. In one of his last scenes, he's excitedly calling to Ye-sol behind a school fence (not realizing it's a different girl), shouting to her and everyone in earshot that he's her real father—seemingly not caring at all that Ye-sol had just found out that her mother was a sociopathic school bully, her parents are getting divorced, and her mother had been officially arrested for murder.
  • Awesome Music: Until the End, which is the song that plays on the opening scene of Dong-eun driving to her hometown. A somber and melancholic song sung in English, Kelly McRae's soft voice coupled with the lyrics capture the tone of Dong-eun's pain and the horrific bullying of her adolescence which have now affected and made her a hardened and broken adult.
  • Catharsis Factor: Whenever Dong-eun gets under Yeon-jin's skin in adulthood will make you cheer for the head bully's eventual downfall considering all the damage she's done to not just Dong-eun but also So-hee (a former victim). Especially considering Dong-eun didn't do much, just sat back and watched them destroy themselves. For a long time, they live a comfortable life, thinking that their actions have no consequences. But their ultimate end is still the result of their own actions.
    • Given how widely hated Mi-hee is for abusing and abandoning her daughter Dong-eun for a hefty bribe in the past, as well as attempting to ruin Dong-eun's life again in the present under Yeon-jin's orders for the same reason, many fans found themselves cheering when she gets admitted to a mental facility with Dong-eun's permission, kicking and screaming all the way.
    • The death of Dong-eun's homeroom teacher will also make many victims of bullying, especially those who have suffered under one like him who blames the victim and not their bullies, immensely satisfied. The fact that it was his own son who instigated it, and make it look completely accidental, was the cherry on top.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Hyeon-nam, the housekeeper who allies herself with Dong-eun so she can get her abusive husband killed earned quite a lot of fans for her hilarious moments while tailing the bully posse to get dirt on them, being a very efficient spy, and also her steadfast loyalty and friendship to Dong-eun, along with slapping Yeon-jin not once, but twice!
  • Fan-Preferred Couple: While Dong-eun x Yeo-jeong is the official couple and reasonably well-liked, Dong-eun x Do-yeong has taken fans by storm, due to the noticeable chemistry between the two actors in their scenes where talking is minimal (during their Go matches), the two appearing to be a better fit, and simply just wanting Yeon-jin to crumble and lose everything, including her husband. Some fans prefer to Take a Third Option and ship all three of them together since Yeo-jeong and Do-yeong share a brief but significant scene playing Go at the park together where they get along.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Shin Ye-eun is a Bully Hunter who is looking for the murderer of a boy who was thrown from the roof and killed in the Revenge Of Others. Here she is a bully who killed a girl by throwing her off the roof.
  • Magnificent Bitch: Moon Dong-eun has long plotted revenge against her bullies in high school. Her plan is elaborate, playing out over 16 episodes, and relies on her knowledge of her bullies and being able to predict their behavior. She begins by manipulating the weakest bully Son Myeong-o into attempting to extort knowledge of the murder Alpha Bitch Park Yeon-jin committed in high school. Next, she sets herself up as an elementary school teacher in Park Yeon-jin's daughter Ha Ye-sol's class and makes false threats against Ye-sol to trigger her mother's anxiety. When Yeon-jin hires Dong-eun's estranged and abusive mother Jung Mi-hee, who had previously sold Dong-eun out for some quick cash, to harass Dong-eun and spread rumors about her, Dong-eun provokes her into setting fire to their apartment. She then commits her mother to a mental hospital. She is then free to enact the final steps of her plan against her bullies. Overall, she displays cunning, takes an interest in learning Go and quickly becomes very good at it, and remarks how she merely set up the board and watched as her bullies destroyed themselves. Despite her dirty tactics and willingness to break innumerable laws, she manages to build a circle of friends and allies who aid her in her revenge.
