• Broken Base: The Redivivus re-edition, which, while being restored to HD format and being a thorough audio-visual reconstruction, lost in the process nearly half of its running time. Especially since the original film was already an Adaptation Distillation from the novel.
• Pop-Cultural Osmosis: A great deal of Poles never read the original book, but saw the movie adaptation instead. However, since The Deluge is an obligatory read in Polish schools, it's hard to call it an Adaptation Displacement.
