* EightPointEight: In his "This is Why we Can't Have Nice Things" video on ''VideoGame/GodHand'', he believes that one of the reasons God Hand failed to sell could have been IGN's 3.0/10 review.

** His falling out with Simon and Lewis of the Yogscast, which many fans of both groups have viewed as sad and hard to watch.
** Both times that he was diagnosed with cancer, ''especially'' now that the second time was terminal.
** His death on May 24, 2018, from cancer, and subsequent tributes from industry execs and fellow commentators alike. Twitch and Blizzard both paid tribute to his consumer advocacy and love of gaming.
** A fundraising campaign was set up to financially provide for his wife Genna and their son Orion in the wake of TB's passing. Thanks to the efforts of many a charity streamer and individual donations, the campaign raised $220,000 in four days.

Tragically, in May 2018, TB would announce that she had sadly passed away while he was in hospital following a surgery, and he passed away only five days later.
** In his last appearance on Podcast/TheCoOptionalPodcast, Totalbiscuit mentioned towards the end of the recording that he was looking forward to playing ''VideoGame/DetroitBecomeHuman'' like his co-hosts once it came out on May 25th, 2018. As luck would have had it, he passed away on the 24th, one day earlier.

** A lot of people who watched him mainly for the coverage of the Cata beta quit watching him entirely when he quit [[VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft WoW]].

** Infamous [=YouTuber=] and "Drama Alert" host Keemstar went on a profane rant in which he essentially gloated over TB having terminal cancer, saying that he looked forward to covering his death [[DisproportionateRetribution simply because he was insulted once or twice]]. TB's fandom did not take this well at all, and since then Keemstar has been forced to take the rant down.
** Shortly after [=TotalBiscuit=]'s passing, an ex-Bioware developer named David Crooks posted a series of tweets celebrating his death. As one might expect, this prompted a huge backlash against Crooks that included condemnations from Casey Hudson, the current head of Bioware.
