• Spiritual Successor: The book can be considered as a succesor of Katmandu, or more specifically speaking, it could be considered as an expanded version of the storyline that took place on Leahtrah's timeline, rather than the one based in her ancestor, Liska, except that the plot is more geared toward romance rather than action, and the book is more grounded on reality compared with Katmandu, outside the use of anthropomorphic felines, a fact shared with that comic. This is justified, as the author, Kitt Mouri, worked in Katmandu and the book was originally based in a incomplete side-story published on it.
