• Alternative Character Interpretation: Did Laura really remain at her job because of her nice garden and house as stated in the show, or did she remain because she realized that the death and injury count at Whitbury would only get worse without her? The latter explanation would explain why she headed off for her interview in the first place.
• Harsher in Hindsight: The episode is about how things quickly fall apart without Laura around to keep it together. Come Series 6, Laura is Put on a Bus and the show is considered to have suffered for it.
