• Ensemble Dark Horse: Peli's BD unit won a lot of fans, even from those who haven't played Jedi: Fallen Order (where one first appears). Many fans have even voiced hopes that it would stow away on Din's fighter, in the hopes of having it and Grogu appear together.
• Fan Nickname: Shortly after the episode aired, some people online started calling it "S2E9" (Season 2, Episode 9) of The Mandalorian. It's also become known as "The Book of the Mandalorian".
• Harsher in Hindsight: The Book of Boba Fett freezing Boba's storyline to set up the chance of Din Djarin reluctantly ruling Mandalore feels even more awkward after The Mandalorian Season 3 repeatedly let other characters steal Din's spotlight, in episodes less-acclaimed than this one.^SpoilersAdditionally, Din never actually takes over Mandalore, due to losing the Darksaber in Chapter 18.
• Just Here for Godzilla: This episode got better reviews and more hype than most of the others largely owing to Din Djarin taking the spotlight instead of Boba.
• Signature Scene: Din igniting the Darksaber before dueling Paz Vizsla provides one of the most iconic shots of any Star Wars TV show.
