YMMV / The Bonzo Dog Band

Go To

  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Joel Druckman, an American living in England at the time, played bass in the band for a while and makes a number of memorable vocal cameos on The Doughnut in Granny's Greenhouse (he's the interviewer at the beginning of "We Are Normal", the Camp Gay voice on "Trouser Press", and the guy who says "I think John Wayne was in it" over and over at the end of "11 Mustachioed Daughters").
    • Also Gerry, their road manager, who played the rather bad and disjointed trumpet at the beginning and middle of the track 'Busted".... then played the astonishingly good trumpet near the end of the track!
  • Memetic Mutation: The opening track on their debut album Gorilla was called "Cool Britannia", intended to satirize the Swinging London movement. Three decades later, that became a popular slogan associated with Tony Blair.
