In One Piece canon, he joined Blackbeard as one of the Ten Titanic Captains in his crew after his defeat. It's probably a good thing his friend and fellow Admiral didn't spare him and let him leave the Marines here.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: When talking with Ur, Kuzan is clearly affected after freezing Jaguar D. Saul and then left him to die during the Buster Call on Ohara. In One Piece canon, Saul is revealed to have survived and is currently in hiding at Elbaf with the books taken to safety by his fellow Giants.
