• It's the Same, Now It Sucks!: Aside from the extremely Limited Animation, this is the most common complaint about this special — nearly all of the stories featured here had been printed in either comics or annuals within the previous year or so, and given very few changes (in fact, several of them were actually cut down for timing reasons), meaning that even most of the comic's target audience knew this was something they'd seen before.
