• Jerkass Woobie: Brer Rabbit can be kind of a jerk, but it's hard not to feel a little sympathy for him when he overhears the other animals telling Brer Turtle about how much they hate him. Fortunately, things get better for him.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: The animals when they exclude Brer Rabbit from Brer Fox’s party. While some like Brer Bear, Sister Mink and (to a lesser extent) Brer Skunk do have legitimate grievances with Brer Rabbit since they didn’t really do anything to warrant his trickery, others like Brer Fox, Wolf, Gator and Sister Buzzard did try to eat him and Brer Rabbit’s actions were a case of self-defense.
