• More Popular Spin Off: The original Veera series had only 4 books, while Tatu and Patu has over 20.
• Older Than the Demographic: Tatu and Patu are adults, even if they don't look like it, and the series is mostly read by small children.
• Retroactive Recognition: Aino Havukainen and Sami Toivonen drew the illustrations for two other Finnish children's book series, Ricky Rapper and Reuhurinteen ala-aste. Both series began in 1997, two years before the release of the first Veera book and six years before the first Tatu and Patu book. Later books in both series have illustrations by different artists, though.
• Unintentional Uncanny Valley: Given how cartoonish proportions the titular characters have in the books, seeing them in human proportions in the movie can feel rather strange.
