• Harsher in Hindsight: "Battle in Crisis" is one of the series' few topical arcs, and the denouement demonstrates why - it ends on a hopeful note, with Kimberly Jones managing to create a vaccine for Covid-19 before the end of quarantine, enabling New York City to go back to normal. In real life, of course, there was no vaccine for the coronavirus until the end of 2020, and the pandemic went through a second surge in the US thanks to a number of states re-opening their economies, and then another surge in the fall due to schools re-opening and people ignoring travel advisories during the Thanksgiving holiday.
