** In general, the wiki has moments where the articles drop the snark and [[SugarWiki/GushingAboutShowsYouLike joyfully gush about how cool something is]]. The wiki ''is'' about a franchise that everybody editing on there passionately loves, after all.
** There are also pages for RealLife people who have worked on the series where it's made clear that the wiki admins, and fans in general, have nothing but love, respect, and admiration for. One big example is Creator/PeterCullen, whose page has little to no snark and simply plays up how great of a guy he is.

The first has nothing to do with the actual users and fans of the website. The third isn't an example as it only mentions people don't like this without the opposing view needed for Broken Base. The second is fine so that one stays.

* BrokenBase:
** The wiki itself. Some see it as a necessary archive of information about the numerous iterations of the brand, while others are put off by the humor and tone.
** The revived "Ask Vector Prime". Some see it as great additions to the canon, others see it as a way for people to force their own headcanons into official status. Many arguments have broken out over this, and a similar feature for the Gobots has pointedly not been allowed to be catalogued.
** Some fans have grown weary of entire articles having their captions be pop culture references. Particularly egregious is how the final episodes of ''Robots in Disguise'' are all ''Star Wars'' quotes for pretty loose reasons. While some are still well regarded, others are deemed unoriginal.

this YMMV item is describing fan reaction to Kiss Players itself and therefore belongs on the YMMV subpage for that work, not here (... assuming the work in fact has a page, which seems unlikely)

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Amongst other things, according to the wiki:
** Cyclonus is Galvatron's neglected and abused boyfriend.
** Optimus Prime is [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/The_many_deaths_of_Optimus_Prime suicidal]]. Also, Bayverse Optimus is a BloodKnight who [[TearOffYourFace collects faces]].
** Tracks is gay.
** [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Treadshot_(G1) Treadshot]] is a cowboy.
** Drift is a weeaboo fan character (sadly, this wasn't that far off from canon when he was first introduced).
** Streetwise is a ''Film/{{Shaft}}''-esque beat cop.
** [[MemeticMutation Ramjet]] [[RunningGag likes toast]].
** [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Stinger_(AOE) Stinger]] is the hot new sports car of the season.
** [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Heavy_Barrel_(Cybertron) Heavy Barrel]] is [[WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons Ned Flanders]].
** They believe that [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Martin_and_Roland Martin and Roland]] from the G1 episode [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/B.O.T._(episode) B.O.T.]] are destined to become serial killers.
** [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Nemesis_Prime_(G1) Nemesis Prime]] [[Literature/HowTheGrinchStoleChristmas hates Christmas]] due to a bizarre toy bio that describes him destroying Santa's workshop ([[NotMakingThisUpDisclaimer yes, that's a real thing; the wiki is just as confused by it as you]]).
** Across multiple continuities, Barricade is obsessed with terrorizing [[Film/{{Transformers}} [=LadiesMan217=]]].
** [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Wildbreak Wildbreak]] is [[WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime Knock Out and Breakdown's]] son.
* BrokenBase:

* DiscreditedMeme: The wiki's stance on [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/JaAm JaAm]] has shifted over time. One of the more well-known ''Transformer'' memes for about two decades since the TurnOfTheMillennium, in 2020 the site re-evaluated it after a discussion on their Discord server and now considers it to be dated for its use of ableist humour, [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Transformers_Wiki:Captions#Captions_and_jokes_we.27re_sick_of discouraging users]] from making references to it.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Shattered Glass Ravage, who's become the site's unofficial mascot.
* FanPreferredCouple: As [[http://til-all-are-one.tumblr.com/post/78164135779/needsabouttreefiddy-lesnee-rorby-guess some have noted]], they seem to have a thing for Cyclonus/Galvatron and Starscream/Jetfire, though the former is mostly PlayedForLaughs.
* FandomVIP: The Wiki is run by a few of them, including [[WebComic/{{Walkyverse}} David Willis]], Greg Sepelak and Trent Troop (the latter two are also the team behind the "Isle of Rangoon" web show).
* GeniusBonus: Some of the image captions and snark can fall under this, as the editors have a love of obscure references, particularly ones carefully themed to the subject being discussed.
* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
** The featured article on the main page, which is usually changed at the beginning of each month, was changed in the middle of March in 2019 to the article on ''WesternAnimation/BeastWars'' co-writer Larry [=DiTillio=], in the light of his recent passing.
** The featured article for May 2020 was changed to Swindle from ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated'' in the wake of the passing of Creator/FredWillard.
** Much like the above, the featured article for January 2022 was changed to Derrick J. Wyatt, the character designer for ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated'', after his untimely passing in December.
** The Notes page for the entry on [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/You You]] (as in, any time a piece of Transformers media has directly involved the viewer) consists of three simple words: "You're pretty awesome."
** Their page on Steven Caple Jr., director of ''Rise of the Beasts'', lists his filmmaking accomplishments as well as the fact that as of this writing, he is the youngest and first director of color to helm a live action ''Transformers'' film. All of this culminates in the page image caption: "[[SoProudOfYou We're so proud of him.]]"
* HilariousInHindsight:
** As the wiki itself pointed out on [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Anthony_Hopkins the page for]] Creator/AnthonyHopkins, his being cast in ''Film/TransformersTheLastKnight'' was this in light of jokes they made about [[Film/TheSilenceOfTheLambs his most famous role]] for [[WesternAnimation/BeastWars Rampage]] and ''WesternAnimation/{{Beast|Machines}}''[[WesternAnimation/BeastMachines -era Megatron]].
** In the intro for the page on the final issue of ''New Avengers/Transformers'', the wiki joked about a crossover between ''Transformers'' and ''{{Franchise/Terminator}}''. Fast-forward 12 years, and, [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Transformers_vs._The_Terminator well...]] They fully lampshaded this of course.
** For years, their page about [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Trademark trademarks]] stated that the addition of prefixes to names that are too common to trademark as standalone words (such as "Autobot Jazz") doesn't mean that you can add a prefix or suffix to a preexisting trademarked name to make it your own, otherwise for example Bandai would be able to sell stuff like [[Franchise/PowerRangers the Power Rangers Transformers with their Optimus Prime Megazord]] and get away with it. Coincidentially, Hasbro bought out ''Power Rangers'' from Saban and Bandai in 2018, and as of now the statement has been changed to [[Franchise/{{Gundam}} the Gundam Transformers with their Optimus Prime Gunpla]] to maintain the Bandai reference.
* MemeticBadass: Parodied and PlayedForLaughs with [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Thundercracker_(Animated) Animated Thundercracker]] and [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Joe_Colton Joe Colton]].
** [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/John_Barber John Barber]], for un-snarling the Movie-verse's many {{Continuity Snarl}}s.
** [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Buzzsaw_(G1) Buzzsaw]], due to him kicking the asses of numerous people in the Marvel comics, including an infamous scene where he singlehandedly takes down ''[[TheJuggernaut Omega Supreme]]''.
** [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Ron Ron]], a random homeless guy who plays an extra in the first Live-Action film.
-->"[[MundaneMadeAwesome The man, the myth, the legend.]]"
* MemeticLoser: Bay-verse Jolt, who was shoehorned into ''Revenge of the Fallen'' with minimal screen time, yet has quite a bit of merchandise, is played up as an impotent wannabe movie star in his page's image captions.
* MemeticMutation:
** [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Bonecrusher_(Movie) Bonecrusher]] [[HatesEveryoneEqually hates everything]].
** Know that Razorclaw's famous meme has [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Razorclaw_(G1) been]] [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Razorclaw_(BW) applied]] [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Razor_Claw to]] [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Razorclaw_(Universe) every]] [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Razorclaw_(Cybertron) incarnation's]] [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Razorclaw_(SG) entry]]. {{Lampshade}}d in the last one, but [[MirrorUniverse that's]] ''ComicBook/TransformersShatteredGlass''. Even a character who's a ''repaint'' of Razorclaw has for their caption, "Know that I am '''not''' Razorclaw!"
** [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Optimus_Prime_(G1) Optimus Prime's]] [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Optimus_Prime_(Movie) desire]] [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Optimus_Prime_(Animated) for faces]] [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Optimus_Prime_(SG) is referenced]] every third Prime or so. Even the [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Empurata page on Empurata]] [[CrossesTheLineTwice gets in on it!]]
** Though just about all of the Furmanisms get used repeatedly, the most commonly found one is "Like a vast, predatory bird". Expect to find it waiting in any profile on a Transformer with a bird alternate mode, lurking like a patient bird of prey.
** TOAST!
** Prowl is a [[{{Jerkass}} prick]].
** Skywarp pushing people down stairs.
** "My Autobot counterpart Punch is nearby. ''[[PaperThinDisguise Real nearby]]''."
** "And every other toy was thrown away" is used whenever a highly-anticipated and really good updated toy for a character is demonstrated.
* NightmareFuel: The page for "[[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Void Void]]". Just a simple white, blank page with a tiny picture of Unicron curled up in the center. Roll over the picture to get some [[BlatantLies totally funny]] alt text.

* TakeThatScrappy: [[https://tfwiki.net/wiki/Tyrannocon_Rex Tyrannocon Rex]]'s opening caption.
-->"Hopefully she eats those two annoying kids from ''Film/JurassicWorld'' and NOT the kids from ''[[WesternAnimation/JurassicWorldCampCretaceous Camp Cretaceous]]''."
* UnconventionalLearningExperience: Given the MerchandiseDriven nature of Transformers, the wiki covers quite a bit about what goes into the making and sale of toys and how it affects the various media.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids: Absolutely ''nobody'' there is happy that Kiss Players was a thing, and for good reason.
