Misplaced, moving to the correct tab

Added DiffLines:

* ObviousBeta: ''Lords of Winter'' was released prematurely and in a non-functional state; given that tech demos before that point had shown a much more functional game, the playerbase was outraged. The game did not reach a truly playable state for ''eight months'' of constant updates, setting a record even for Paradox's somewhat poor initial releases.

To quote the page, "Do not link to this on the wiki, please. Not even under the YMMV tab." NRLEP

* SugarWiki/DevelopmentHeaven: The background lore is rich enough to put {{Role Playing Game}}s to shame. Just check out [[http://www.kerberos-productions.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=9 the official forums]], where writer Arinn "Erinys" Dembo addresses lots and lots of fan queries. Most developers would be content with short backstories, never mind actually building on the existing lore in response to fans.

* NeverLiveItDown: The initial release of ''Lords of Winter'' was a particularly painful example of an ObviousBeta. There has been considerable improvement since, but even so it is an enduring black mark on Kerberos Productions' reputation.

Up To Eleven is a defunct trope

* GameBreaker: In ''The Pit'' - if you get yourself a Maab, you're set for nearly half the game. It's a knife that can paralyze ANY enemy, thus rendering them completely immobile and unable to attack you, which lets you freely chip away their health without any worry (as long as there's no enemies around you but then you can just [[UpToEleven paralyze them too]]) as it has a lot of durability. The only downsides are its puny damage that'll leave you stabbing the tougher enemies [[DeathOfAThousandCuts over and over]], and its relatively high but not unreachable Finesse requirement.

Let's try to keep our personal opinions out of this

* NeverLiveItDown: The initial release of ''Lords of Winter'' was an ObviousBeta. Only the most close-minded fans would deny this. There has been a lot of improvement since those first dark days. But to hear the haters, you'd think Kerberos never did a thing to fix the problems, and to this day there are haters who have a blanket refusal to consider purchasing any more of their products.

* PlayTheGameSkipTheStory: Averted; despite the lack of a full campaign mode, the rich lore is still one of the game's appeals and plays a role in AI behavour and tech forest rolls.

* TearJerker: The cries of your civilians (especially of the Morrrgi, who beg for you to save your women and children) during orbital bombardment/being eaten by a random encounter. If you've no more ships, and have entered the tactical battle, you can only wait until time is up, hearing their cries for help.

*** Von Neumann Probes have at least a 25% chance of one shooting you with any of their attacks. They can hit you even if they're way out of your line of sight.

* ComplacentGamingSyndrome: The developers tried to defy this with the randomised TechTree being supposed to make it hard for this to come to pass. Given that most species have specialties with very high chances of occurring, it can still occur.
