• Adaptation Displacement: Based on a series of books hardly anyone remembers.
• Ho Yay:
  • SuperTed and Spotty being two grown men living together, combined with Spotty being somewhat flamboyant, raised more than a few eyebrows.
  • Skeleton and Tex in the dream episode were portrayed in the dream segments as acting like husband and wife.
  • Skeleton in another episode clinged on to Tex's leg and Tex tells Skeleton to get off him because Skeleton was starting to pull down Tex's pants.
• Quirky Work: It's a weird Welsh thing—the main reason why SuperTed was made was because Mike Young's son had a phobia of the dark. To put this in perspective, in the American revival series, SuperTed visited a barbaring-obsessed Space Roman alien world. In the Welsh original series, he repeatedly matches wits with an evil cowboy, a childlike super-strong fat idiot, and a milquetoast skeleton.
