• Strangled by the Red String: William and Kara again. The show again has other characters pushing Kara towards William and her deciding to give it a shot despite the Unfortunate Implications this brings. Their relationship has not only fans but critics puzzled why the show is putting them together when there has been no reason why Kara would be attracted to him and the rather painfully obvious lack of chemistry between the pair. The fact that neutral fans and critics are against the pairing takes this beyond a case of other more popular Ship-to-Ship Combat. It has led at least one critic to wonder if the relationship is being pushed to give an explanation of a possible case of Real Life Writes the Plot.
• The Un-Twist: The assassin being a woman was obvious from the basic shape and silhouette of her few pre-reveal appearances.
