This seems to be an oversight since the cut-in for ''Photon Sword "Tenrai"'' does not appear when she's an enemy unit just like in ''V''.

* ScrappyMechanic: Like ''Super Robot Wars V'', the final attacks for the Nu Gundam, Zeta Gundam, and ZZ Gundam are locked towards their canon Universal Century pilots [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack Amuro Ray]], [[Anime/MobileSuitZetaGundam Kamille Bidan]], and [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamZZ Judau Ashta]], respectively, disallowing players from using these machines for anyone else to their full potential.

** [[Anime/CodeGeass Lelouch]] x Ange is another popular pairing due to the close similarities between them. It helps a lot with how supportive Lelouch is towards Ange throughout the game.

* CompleteMonster: [[BigBad Ende The Devourer]] is a Divine Beast and [[GodIsEvil the creator of Al-Warth]], populating it with survivors of the war against the [[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Anti-Spiral]] to [[EmotionEater feed on their emotions]]--developing a taste for negative emotions while seeing positive emotions as mere condiments--while also taking advantage of the ignorance of the AI [[Anime/TheBraveExpressMightGaine Black Noir]] to have it manipulate events for him. Ende also uses his worshippers, the [[MagicalSociety Keepers of Order]] to manipulate events inside Al-Warth while also training sorcerers in hopes to find someone who could become part of Ende's future body. When the Keepers start to summon people from other worlds to bring war to Al-Warth and the creature meant to become his new self escapes, Ende summons more otherworlders to cause more conflict and [[TheCorrupter corrupts]] the sorcerer Celric Obsidian into a unhinged berserker who murders his superior to become The Founder and uses the Keepers of Order to attack people. When X-Cross, a group with many otherworlders, defeats the Anti-Spiral and Black Noir, Ende appears in front of them to tell them that now, he plans to invade their homeworlds to feast on the emotions of its people before [[PlanetEater devouring Al-Warth]] in front of the X-Cross.

* CommonKnowledge: Contrary to what many would say about the game, [[Anime/MashinHeroWataruSeries Wataru]] was not the SpotlightStealingSquad of the series. Those who actually played the game would eventually notice that:
** Doakdar was on the lower chain of SortingAlgorithmOfEvil, located below [[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann the Anti-Spiral]], [[Anime/TheBraveExpressMightGaine Black Noir]] and [[FinalBoss Ende the Devourer]], all of them using his advance for their own gain, and once Wataru got rid of him, his plotline was basically done and none of the rest of the series BigBad suddenly put their crosshairs on him. Thus, Wataru's story had more or less similar weight like the rest of the stories.
** While he did start the softening of Ange, it was only at the beginning; Lelouch and Nadia handled the rest.
** The twist was that if this was a normal Isekai genre story, Wataru would've been TheHero (and seeing that ''X'' is a homage to the Isekai genre that was getting popular during its year of release, people would've looked at the more likely Isekai hero character first), but the story designed all along that the one who'd usually be stuck in the supporting guardian/mentor role in a normal Isekai genre story (the main characters Iori/Amari) is the main character of the story.

* ToughActToFollow: ''V'' was lauded for its work in the narrative department, but the story-telling quality in ''X'' is [[BrokenBase/SuperRobotWars divided]], whether one believes the LighterAndSofter elements in this game made it inferior to ''V'' or not.
** Likewise, but to a smaller extent, the reception to the Hi-Nu Gundam's animations was very mixed - not out of poor quality or execution, but because it had to follow up on the highly praised "Arios-san"'s Nu Gundam animations from the ''Z series'' and ''V'' with a different artist and animation style, not helped by the fact that both units are present for a back-to-back comparison.

** The game has a lot of interactions between Ange and Wataru and it's one of the many reasons why Ange mellows down considerably, leading fans to pair them up as an IntergenerationalFriendship type.
