• Harsher in Hindsight: Every member of the Foo Fighters except Dave Grohl dies in this film, which makes Taylor Hawkins' death here harder to watch, as he passed away a month after the film's release. Also, the fact that Dave increasingly dedicates their song to the deceased’s memory, after many radio stations and rockstars did just that for the drummer.
• Ho Yay: There's a couple of moments of these between band members, especially Dave and Taylor.
  Dave: Taylor? Sleep in your own bed.
• Narm Charm: Can the Foo Fighters act? Dave and Nate, for the most part can. The rest? Not really. Does their sense of humor and fantastic use of horror tropes and practical effects carry the movie? Fuck yes.
• Tear Jerker: Nate's reaction to finding out he just ran over Pat
  Nate: No, fuck! Pat! (quietly) Fuck! (voice breaking) Pat! I'm sorry, Pat! I'm sorry!
