YMMV / Steven Universe S4E15 "The New Crystal Gems"

• Hilarious in Hindsight: The fanfic Connie And The B-Team, written before this episode, featured Connie, Peridot, Lapis, and Jasper forming a backup team to the Crystal Gems. Now it seems to actually be happening in the series (except for the Jasper part, considering her Redemption Rejection and Corruption during the previous season).
  • In said story, Lapis is a fan of some literature and movies (even pointing out when a character quoted a movie). During this episode, she ends up quoting a movie.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot:
  • Many fans were disappointed that this episode's plot was about the B Team impersonating the A Team and running a car wash rather than doing what Steven and the other Gems asked: keeping Beach City safe from, say, a Corrupted Gem or two. They could easily have learned the same lesson about being themselves instead of emulating the A Team while fighting a Gem Monster, which still could've involved the car wash by means of a Gem Monster attacking it.
  • Some fans wish that the episode had been a P.O.V. Sequel instead of a Whole Episode Flashback.
• Signature Scene: The "Victory Pose" at the end of the episode is pretty much its most iconic part.
