• Hilarious in Hindsight: Starship Traveller was heavily inspired by the Star Trek: The Original Series, as Steve Jackson has cheerfully admitted. A decade after the book was published a canon Trek series with the exact same premise of a ship stranded far from home in a freak incident began airing.
• Spiritual Adaptation: This is a Star Trek book in all but name. Weirdly, it most resembles Star Trek: Voyager, but predates that series by over a decade.
