• Fridge Logic: How come when the Doctor decides to leave, we never get a mention of the backup Doctor seen in "Living Witness?" Maybe it's a moot point; one gets the feeling that Janeway knew from the get-go that the Doctor had some humble pie coming his way.
• Jerkass Woobie: The Doctor is definitely being a self-absorbed douchebag in this episode, but it is understandable that he still carries some bitterness about being treated as subhuman by his Voyager peers, even if the Doctor is wrong overall.
