• Inferred Holocaust: The Starfleet ships seem to be firing on one another for quite some time, and there is a shot of debris floating around, implying that multiple ships were completely destroyed. Given that a single phaser shot getting through shields has been shown to be enough to cause casualties, it is likely a lot of crewmembers were injured or killed during this sequence. Not helped that the Universal Translator failing may have caused some critical orders to be incompletely followed, as happens onboard the Dauntless when Janeway tries to order evacuation.
