• Genius Bonus: The fact that a P-51 Mustang, one of the best Allied fighters, is being used for home defense is a subtle hint to the way World War II is going here.
• Overshadowed by Controversy: There are a lot of opinions as to whether or not the episode effectively wrapped up the Xindi plot arc. Good luck finding anyone actually discussing this, rather than this being the episode that ends with a shot of literal Space Nazis, however. With no idea if the show would be renewed, Rick Berman deliberately put in the most ridiculous, nonsensical cliffhanger ending he could come up with to basically dare the network to let the show and possibly the entire franchise end on that note. Berman and fellow executive producer Brannon Braga were rewarded for this daring move by being Kicked Upstairs and largely supplanted by Manny Coto for the show's fourth and final season.
