• Heartwarming Moments: Despite their animosity, Kirk, Kor, T'Cel, and their crews managing to put their differences behind them and work together against a common threat. Kor especially, as he is shown to fully believe in the Organian Prophecy that one day the Federation and Klingon Empire will become close allies.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Khan's curse in Kirk's nightmare becomes almost downright prophetic when considering Kirk dies decades after almost all of his friends have passed. By the time of Generations, only Spock and Scotty are canonically known to still be alive among the original crew.
• Tearjerker: T'Cel's final departure. Though Kirk assures himself she's not dead, it's still heartbreaking watching the daughter she left behind in his care mourning, and never knowing what her ultimate fate will be.
