  • Broken Base:
    • The stereotypical Outrun the Fireball scene towards the end of the game. Some find it a refreshing break from the silent movie cutscenes, while others think it's too out-of-character for a game otherwise doing a good job of imitating the 1920's era.
    • The deliberate decision to make story cutscenes in the style of silent movies of yore is viewed as either a characteristic artistic choice or an annoying pretense that hinders the flow of the plot.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Peck the Clown, a gigantic clown with a dinosaur-esque scream. Mostly Played for Laughs like many other things in the game, but the dialogue surrounding its existence and its overall creepy appearance can make it legitimately scary for coulrophobics.
  • Stylistic Suck: The entirety of the game’s cutscenes is styled like old silent films.
