YMMV / Spider (2002)

• Award Snub: Despite almost universal praise from critics, the film was ignored at Cannes and the Oscars.
• Awesome Music: "Love will find out the way", a beautiful sounding piece that's used to open the movie.
• Growing the Beard: This was the film that marked Cronenberg's transition from Body Horror to intense psychological drama that would later be seen in A History of Violence and Eastern Promises.
• Older Than They Think: This actually isn't the first Cronenberg movie to focus more on psychological drama without a huge load of gory special effects; that would go to his adaptation of Stephen King's "The Dead Zone".
